SUPPORTING MUM’S MENTAL HEALTH
We're working with Mama Tribe to support the mental health of mothers everywhere. Together, we want to help all mums feel recognised, supported, and less alone.
MOTHERHOOD IS A SPECTRUM OF EMOTIONS
It's OK to ask for help. While it's totally normal to have ups and downs, good days and bad days, for some mums it can unravel.
More than 1 in 5 Australian women experience mental health struggles during pregnancy or within the first year after having a baby.
HELP IS ALWAYS CLOSE AT HAND
Supporting your friend or loved one, or starting a conversation yourself about the challenges you may be facing isn’t always easy, but it is worth remembering you’re not alone, and it’s always ok to ask for help.
We want to help all mums feel even more recognised and supported.
ABOUT MALTESERS & MAMA TRIBE
At Maltesers, we want to lift other women up by building resilience through laughing together through the tough stuff. This year we're working with Mama Tribe to support new and expectant mums through motherhood. Together, we're shining a light on the importance of having that friend, partner, or group of other mums who can help us manage the unmanageable and see the lighter side of life. With the help of Mama Tribe we want to celebrate these people. Thank them for helping us find the funny in a bad day and for being there for us when we need them.
It's time to bring women together and laugh through the tough stuff. Because when we talk and get things off our chest, motherhood feels lighter together.
Mama Tribe is a nationwide, mama-led organisation with over 70,000 members across 40 locations in Australia. They are an active community of resilient women that connect local mums throughout their perinatal period to ensure that no mama is left lonely, isolated, or without support. Mama Tribe is the community arm of the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and together they create bigger and better support systems for mothers across Australia.
